Here are a couple more from New London's multiple alarm fire at the L&M. I should be mostly caught up now, so hopefully the next post will be recent or new material. Now all I need to do is catch a job.

Camp Bucca Fire & Rescue, Iraq

April 2008 - So here is a post that I wanted to put up upon returning from Iraq last year... and well, we all know how that ended. Camp Bucca was shut down in September, after being the largest detainee facility in the world when I was there. Anyhow, while embeded at Camp Bucca I made sure to grab some shots of the rigs that they kept on base. Enjoy

This truck had a nick-name that I now forget, it was something like "Sal" or something like that. Anyhow, this beast was used for riot control first, and firefighting second. But in a detainee camp, the two usually came together.

10/10/09 - Back in service... for now

Yes, I think that I am back. SECTFIRE will not be as active as it once was, but I still enjoy having a platform for displaying my fireground work. So feel free to stop back now and again and see what is new.

Out of Service...

This may shock some viewers to see a post on this totally inactive blog,

The truth of the matter is, is that I have been far too busy with the goings-on in my life, and have been unable to devote and real time to fire-blogging (not catching any jobs recently has not helped either).  Anyhow, this trend is likely to continue for a few more months, at which point I will either re-launch SECT FIRE...or just shut it down.

I will always be thankful for the great following and support that I received here, and will always respect those that run in when others run out.  Until then, keep looking for me on the scene, I will most likely be there somewhere.

And finally the USS Dallas came by to see what all the hub-bub was about. They offered the GCFD their assistance, but it was determined that a Tomahawk missile strike would not be needed to knock down the fire
